Surrey Hills Garden

The garden presented several challenges, one being the requirement for retaining walls halfway up an existing hillside. This compromised of thin soils over sandstone rock due to the garden having formerly been cut out of the hillside. The work was comprised of extensive hard landscaping, engineered timber retaining walls, extensive York stone terraces with detailed reclaimed cobble works, removal of sub terranean redundant tennis court, Oak pergola, fully automated irrigation system, lighting system, new lawns, new wildflower areas and an extensive number of borders with mature hedging and planting.

The contract was agreed and started in September 2019. Good progress was made until Covid-19 hit, where there was a 3-week delay before returning to site to continue the work. The project was completed in April 2021.

The client is delighted with the finished project and we retain the maintenance of the garden.
